Severe thunderstorms rolled through the D.C. area Wednesday evening after a hot and humid day - and similar weather is expected for Thursday.
The storms produced heavy rain and strong winds and brought some trees down along their path.
Temperatures were in the 90s earlier, but felt closer to 100 degrees due to the humidity.
Thursday will be a repeat performance of Wednesday, with high heat and humidity as well as scattered showers and thunderstorms around later in the day. Storms Thursday could also be strong to severe, so stay weather-ready.
Storm Team4 will be in Weather Alert mode Thursday due to the heat and storms.
