Storms are beginning to die down in the D.C. area after a blast of severe weather brought heavy rains and gusty winds to some parts of the region on Saturday.
A severe thunderstorm warning has expired for parts of Stafford, Fauquier and Prince William counties in Virginia.
A tornado warning was briefly in effect for parts of Culpeper, Fauquier and Rappahannock counties in Virginia and expired just after 5 p.m.
Flood warnings are still in effect for the city of Fredericksburg and counties including Culpeper and Fauquier. You can see a full list of weather alerts here.
Saturday has been humid and sticky with temperatures reaching 80 degrees.
Most of the storm clouds are expected to move out by about 9 p.m. tonight, but some isolated showers are on the radar for Sunday.
Storm Team4's Somara Theodore said the sun will make an appearance on the first Sunday of summer and you'll likely be fine to eat brunch outside. It will be hot, however, with a high temperature of 90 degrees.
