Snow and Slush Possible This Weekend

Regions south of D.C. could see a slushy 1 to 3 inches

Soak in the mild weather while you can. Storm Team4 says some snow and rain is coming our way Saturday.

On Friday, temperatures will warm to about 60 degrees, with clouds and a bit of a breeze. A shower or two is possible during the evening hours.

Overnight Friday into early Saturday an area of low pressure will ride along a cold front and move into the region. Temperatures will generally be in the low to mid 30s early Saturday so we will be dealing with a mix of rain and snow. Computer models are also tracking this storm farther to the south. This means lower snowfall amounts for D.C. and areas north and higher snow totals south of Washington.

Regions south of D.C. could see a slushly 1 to 3 inches and areas to the north will see maybe 1 inch mainly on grassy surfaces, Storm Team4 Meteorologist Amelia Draper says.

The forecast shows Sunday starting cloudy and cold with a chance for rain returning in the late evening, mainly south of D.C. Overnight, showers will continue to affect parts of the area possibly lingering into Monday morning.

This storm is still developing so stay tuned as Storm Team4 continues to update the forecast.
