Show Us Your Holiday Lights!

NBC Washington Chief Meteorologist Doug Kammerer was in Chantilly, Va., Friday night at the home of Kim and Carmen Villani.

Carmen said he used about 26,000 lights to illuminate the home. The decorations include Santa in a plane in honor of Carmen's career as a pilot and "Merry Christmas Y'All" to recognize Kim's Texas roots.

Neighbors told Kammerer the Villanis are the kind of neighbors you want. During last year's Snowpocalypses, Carmen was at everyone's home offering the services of his snowblower.

Last week, Kammerer went to Laurel, Md., to forecasti from the front lawn of the Briere family. Dave Briere's wife alerted us to his story. She said the first thing her husband wanted to know after triple-bypass surgery was when he would be able to get on the roof and string Christmas lights. His impressive caught our weather team's eye and interest.

Kammerer kicked off Doug's Holiday Lights at the National Harbor tree-lighting ceremony the day after Thanksgiving.

And we'll also feature your pictures and video right here on NBCWashington.com.

Again, send your pictures and video to weather@nbcwashington.com, and remember to include your addresses and contact information so we know where you are and how to get in touch.
