Weather Alert: Flood Warnings for DC Area; More Storms Expected Wednesday

    Severe storms brought down trees and caused some roads to flood in the D.C. area Tuesday night.

    The storms fizzled out about 9 p.m., but a flood warning remains in effect for D.C. as well as Montgomery, Prince George's, Fairfax, Anne Arundel and Howard counties.

    Traffic was stopped on the Outer Loop of I-495 after VA-193/Georgetown Pike due to flooding, but has since cleared, WTOP reports.

    Storm Team4 says to have the umbrella ready to go on Wednesday as more severe weather is expected. Showers and storms will likely move through between 2 and 7 p.m. Storms could bring heavy rain with the possiblity of lightning and strong winds.
