Spring Showers Continue Wednesday

    Afternoon Weather, April 24

Storm Team4 Chief Meteorologist Doug Kammerer discusses rain chances for the remainder of Tuesday. (Published Tuesday, April 24, 2018)

Rain continues to fall across parts of the D.C. area, but the end is in sight.

Storm Team4 says the heaviest rain is over, but we'll see showers on and off for much of the day.

The rain is expected to leave the region late Wednesday night.

Wednesday temperatures will reach the mid-60s with rain chances increasing during the afternoon and into the evening.

Sunshine will return Thursday, when high temperatures are expected to approach 70 degrees. But another storm system making its way toward D.C. might bring light showers Friday.

The weekend will likely be dry, with the high temperature Saturday hovering around 70 degrees. The sunshine will likely continue next week, creating high temperatures in the mid-to-upper 80s as the week progresses.
