Strong Storms Possible Friday Evening

Friday evening could see more storm activity, but Storm4 meteorologist Doug Kammerer does not expect a widespread severe weather event that appeared likely Thursday.

Some strong storms are expected with a possibility of damaging winds and hail.

Stormy weather in the D.C. area caused some flash flooding Thursday evening. Those severe storms were mostly to the north and west of D.C.

Drivers are reminded not to try to drive through flooded roads, as the water can be deeper and the current can be stronger than they appear.

There is a slight chance of showers and storms south and east of I-95 Saturday morning.
