A flood warning is still in effect for parts of Maryland and Virginia after another round of rain hit the region on Sunday.
Flooding blocked all lanes on US-50 between Kenilworth Avenue and Columbia Park Road in Cheverly, Maryland. A water rescue team was on its way to help a person get out of a stalled car on US-50, Prince George's County Fire Department spokesman Mark Brady said.
Brady said water rescue crews had saved seven people from vehicles Sunday evening after rain flooded Sunnyside Road between Edmonston Road and Rhode Island Avenue in Beltsville, Maryland.
A large tree fell down and stopped traffic on the Outer Loop of the Beltway earlier Sunday at Old Georgetown Road.
In D.C., a huge tree crashed onto a home on Texas Avenue SE about 12:30 p.m. Sunday. No one was injured and everyone inside the home made it out safely, D.C. Fire and EMS said.
"A lot of cracking. I thought it was an earthquake initially and the tree fell. Nothing you can do about it. It's nature, you know," said Mark Fuller, who lives in the home.

Trees also fell onto at least three different cars in the city.

Temperatures on Sunday cooled down to the low 60s.
Some homes and streets in Fort Washington, Maryland, flooded about 3 p.m. Saturday, fire officials said. There were no water rescues or injuries.
One man drove to get his nephews from a recreation center in Fort Washington as the storms approached.
The water wasn't high when he hit a dip on Livinston Road, but it rose quickly from nearby storm drains.
"That's when I started to feel the car kinda being pulled. I look to my right, I see water rushing," Brian Gilchrist said.
His nephews were riding their bikes alongside him. Gilchrist told them to run and then called home.
"'Mom you have to help me, you have to get me out.' I'm like, get you out where? What're you saying?" Gilchrist's mother, Virginia Gilchrist, said.
Gilchrist managed to escape his car through the sun roof.
Drivers should be cautious and remember to never drive through a flooded road.
The sun is expected to make a much-anticipated appearance on Monday and Storm Team4 says highs will be in the upper 70s.
