Veterans Day Forecast to Be Chilly With Sunshine

Cold Air Brings Blustery Chill to DC

The first cold spell of the season has some parts of the D.C. area under a freeze warning. News4's Darcy Spencer went to Old Town Alexandria, where not everyone was prepared for the frigid weather. (Published Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018)

Veterans Day got off to a cold start with some of the season's first below-freezing temperatures.

But the remainder of Sunday is forecast to be sunny with a high of 48 degrees.

This weekend has been the coldest so far this season, Storm Team4 said.

Winds of 15-30 mph pushed Saturday's daytime temperatures in the low 40s feel like the 30s, prompting people to pull out their gloves, hats and puffy coats.
