Monday Showers Ushering in Big Weather Changes

Showers bringing in high heat and humidity for rest of the week

You know that beautiful, un-swamp-like weather we've been having this month?

Well, we have some bad news for you on that front.

Monday showers are ushering in a big change in our weather, with the typical D.C. heat and humidity expected to arrive as they end, said Storm4 meteorologist Tom Kierein.

Sporadic rain will continue throughout Monday, with chances of showers decreasing as the day goes on. There's also a chance of thunderstorms Monday afternoon, although if we do get them, they shouldn't be severe, Kierein said.

Temperatures Monday should be in the mid-70s to mid-80s. However, we'll be facing some high heat tomomorrow, with temps bumping up into the 90s and lingering -- with plenty of humidity, we're sorry to say -- for the rest of the week.
