Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Frederick, Loudoun Counties

After some wild weather last week, isolated thunderstorms are moving through the area Tuesday.

A severe thunderstorm warning and flash flood warning are in effect for parts of Frederick County. Damaging winds higher than 60 mph are expected. 

A severe thunderstorm warning also is in effect for parts of Loudoun County. 

The Frederick County warnings are in effect until 10:45 p.m. The Loudoun County warning is in effect until 10:15 p.m. 

A severe thunderstorm watch stretching from Baltimore deep into Virginia was canceled, but isolated storms are possible through the evening. 

The biggest risk with these storms is damaging winds with a low to moderate risk of hail and heavy showers. Isolated flooding is also possible.

Wedensday will be another hot day with a smaller chance for storms.

Thursday and Friday will bring more chances for storms.

Saturday, the Fourth of July, is looking good for outdoor activities, with no storms likely and a high of 84.
