After a Halloween scare from Mother Nature, it's time to welcome in a new month and a much colder weather pattern.
The tornado watch that went into effect hours before prime trick-or-treating time is over, but several advisories are still in effect.
A flood warning is in effect in Montgomery County until Friday afternoon. In Germantown, a car got caught in high water early Friday. The driver was able to escape.
But the rain is over (for now), and sunny skies will brighten your Friday. You'll still want to bundle up: Temperatures will stay chilly, with highs just reaching the 50s. That's about 25 degrees colder than Thursday.
Strong winds Friday morning could still gust in the 30-40 mph range before calming down a bit for the afternoon.
Temperatures could quickly fall into the 40s for your evening plans. Clear skies and a light wind tonight will allow most areas to have temperatures in the mid- to upper 30s by Saturday morning.
