Blizzard Baby Bonanza

Howard Univ. Hosp. has baby blitz since second snow storm started

We've been told to stay home and stay off the roads, but what if you go into labor?

For six D.C. women, that's exactly what happened.

Doctors have delivered six blizzard babies at Howard University Hospital since it started snowing Tuesday.

Most of them haven't been named yet. The first was born Tuesday at 4:36 p.m. The last, Wednesday at 4:49 p.m.

One mother did get stuck in the snow. Her friend had been trying to get her to the hospital.

The mothers and babies are all happy, healthy and staying warm at the hospital, officials said.
