4 things to know about the weather:
- More Clouds Than Sun, Again
- Warmer For The Weekend
- Sunday, Rain & Thunderstorms
- More 70s Next Week
Getting to see much sunshine will remain quite a challenge for the next several days but the majority of the time will be dry.
The one big exception to the dry pattern will be Sunday when you should plan for rain and thunderstorms – especially in the afternoon and evening.

Between now and Sunday the only chance for rain will come in the form of drizzle or sprinkles late tonight into mid-morning Saturday.
Cool Friday, then hopes of a warmer Saturday
Your Friday afternoon will be mostly cloudy and cool, with highs near 60° and some brightening of the sky after 3-4 p.m.
The wind will take on more of a southerly direction on Saturday which should lead to a nice warm-up. The key word there is "should". Saturday's temperature forecast is "low confidence" to say the least. There's more than a 10° difference in the forecast highs among the computer models.
- If our wind remains more east than south, the clouds will remain thicker and daytime highs may just get above 60°.
- If the wind is more south than east, the clouds will thin out and temperatures could climb into the low 70s.
No matter the temperatures, Saturday will be the drier half of the weekend and much better for outdoor activities.
Storms possible on Sunday
Rainfall on Sunday should be close to a full inch for most of the area with local amounts of over an inch possible. There's also an increasing chance that some of the storms Sunday evening could be strong to severe so keep that in the back of your mind as you make plans.
Behind Sunday night's rain and storminess, Monday will turn blustery and chilly with highs only reaching the mid-50s.
Tuesday will be our next sunny day with highs near 65°.
Wednesday looks nice and mild with highs around 70°.
Thursday will also reach the 70s but with rain chances arriving for the afternoon and evening hours.
