Storm Team4 Forecast: Frigid temperatures start the weekend, but week will warm

Storm Team4 has the weather forecast for D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia

NBC Universal, Inc.

4 things to know about the weather

  1. Cold start with chilly conditions throughout the day.
  2. Milder tomorrow.
  3. Rain expected Monday and again Wednesday.
  4. Close to 60F by mid-week, colder again into next weekend.

Today will slightly less frigid than Friday, but not by much.

After wind chills brought temperatures during the last day of the workweek down into the teens and 20s, Saturday will max out in the 40s. While still cold, there will be less wind.

By Sunday, the D.C. area will finally shake the very cold temperatures that have led to the coldest start to December in nearly 20 years.

Rain is likely on Monday, so grab the umbrella!
