Rain, Chilly Temperatures Expected in DC Area for Next Few Days

You'll need to keep your umbrella and coat nearby for the next few days.

Several waves of low pressure will move over the region through Saturday, bringing cloudy weather, soaking rain and chilly conditions.

Rain will move into the region Thursday morning, and it will stick around well into the evening. We could see up to a half inch of rain.

The rain will return Friday afternoon and last well into Saturday. The area could see between an inch and two inches of rain during that time.

The rain will end late Saturday.

Temperatures will stay in the 50s Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Sunshine will return just in time for Mother's Day, with temperatures soaring into the 70s. Once the sunny weather returns, it will stay that way through most of next week. Highs will be near 75 degrees Monday and Tuesday.
