Traffic Flowing On Bay Bridge After Truck Overturns

Traffic on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge is flowing again after the the westbound span was blocked for hours Saturday by an overturned tractor-trailer.

The truck crashed with another vehicle and wound up on its side about 2:45 p.m.

One person was injured in the crash but is expected to be OK, Maryland Transportation Authority Police spokesman Sgt. Jonathan Green said.

The truck was carrying wooden pallets, the Associated Press reported. Nothing hazardous spilled and nothing fell off the bridge, Green said.

Traffic was backed up for hours and congested even after police set up two-way lanes around the accident.
