Metro will randomly select 10 recipients to participate in the July 26 grand opening ceremony and ride on the first Silver Line train.
Winners will also receive an unlimited, one-day pass to travel (using Metro, of course) to and from the inaugural events.
“We know there are many people who have been following this project and are anxious to be among the first to ride on the Silver Line,” said Lynn Bowersox, Metro Assistant General Manager. “This is one of the ways for the public to participate in the grand opening and an opportunity for Metro to say thank you to our riders.”
Metro expects to announce additional details about the opening ceremony next week.
