The contractor for Phase 2 of the construction of Metro's Silver Line got the go-ahead to begin.
Phase 2 is the part of line that runs from Reston to Dulles International Airport and into Loudoun County. If plans hold, it'll be operating in 2018.
Phase 1 from Falls Church through Tysons Corner to Reston opens later this year or early next year.
