Closed MARC Lines Reopen

Two MARC lines closed Tuesday have reopened.

MARC's Brunswick Line was closed west of Rockville due to power lines laying on the tracks until about 3:40 p.m.  Alternate arrangements were made by MARC at the Twinbrook and Silver Springs stations.

The Camden Line was closed until about 3:50 p.m. between Savage and Dorsey due to a police investigation. Though the line has reopened, there is no southbound service. Riders are encouraged to take the Penn Line train for the Tuesday evening commute.

Earlier today, Red Line Metro trains were closed between Shady Grove and Twinbrook, also due to downed power lines. That incident has been cleared and Red Line service between those stations has resumed.

Metro honored MARC tickets.
