Obama's Alexandria Shopping Spree

President stops by stores in Virginia

The president did some Christmas shopping today in Alexandria, where he visited Best Buy and PetSmart. He chatted with shoppers, perused the aisles and joked with the clerks.

“Let’s see if my credit card still works,” he said. “It will be really embarrassing if it doesn’t.”

What was on the president’s Christmas list? Seeing as how Best Buy doesn’t sell world peace, he stuck to the basics.

SPOILER ALERT, MALIA AND SASHA!

He purchased two $25 iTunes gift cards, DVDs and "Just Dance 3" for Wii.

“The girls beat me every time,” he admitted.

At PetSmart, with Bo in tow, the president purchased a huge bone. Deck the halls, Bo is jolly. The first pet was delighted by all the attention.

The Alexandria shopping center has been a favorite for the Obamas since September, when Michelle Obama caused a stir by shopping incognito at Target.

The president’s shopping trip was completed by a visit to Pizzeria Del Ray, where he picked up three pizzas to go.
