A Taste of the Presidential Pad

Have millions? Why not try out an imitation White House?

If your dream is to live in the White House and you have a couple of million dollars sitting around, forget Pennsylvania Avenue. It’s time to try out McLean, Va.

A scaled-down replica of the White House is for sale. The mansion sits on Towlston Road off Georgetown Pike.

The 12,000 square feet are fully loaded with six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a gym and home theater. You'll also find a wine cellar, an elevator and 100-person-capacity party room.

If that’s not enough to tempt your wallet, why not try 14-foot high ceilings, 22 skylights and an Oval Office? Yeah, we thought that would pique your interest.

The home took several years to build, and its current family of five moved in back in the mid 1990s.

All their swag doesn’t come cheap. The owners are asking for $4.54 million. Just petty cash, eh?

Film buffs might also know this house was used in the 1996 movie “Independence Day.”
