We've heard good things, but the lunar luau seems like a bit of a stretch for us due to our major budget limitations, sheer fear of flying and frequent problems with claustrophobia.
Thankfully, Asia Nine Bar & Lounge (915 E St. N.W.) has teamed up with GoOut2Eat.com, a DMV restaurant savings program, to host the "Asia Nine Full Moon Party" tonight from 4:30-11 p.m. Throughout the first half of the night, there will be $4 Bud Light Lime, Chang Beer (Thai beer), Svedka Vodka, Red Bull, Sauvignon Blanc and Malbec. Meanwhile, dig into $3-$6 Asian Street Wings, California rolls, crispy salmon and cream cheese rolls, Gyoza, Shumai, Tako Yaki and edamame. (Sorry for not speaking English for a second.)
The lunar celebration will also include door prizes and special promotions, as well as a digital photo booth for you and your friends. (No mooning allowed.) There's no cover charge, but guests are asked to make a $3 donation that will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
