Through the doors of Front Page Bar and Grill in Arlington a group of hockey fans catching the last sporting event of the 2010 Olympic games made it clear who they were cheering for--"USA, USA, USA!"
Dozens off proud patrons gathered around large screen TVs to watch the U.S. take on Canada in Sunday night's heart-stopping match.
"I think that we need to do this, I'm here to celebrate America," said hockey fan Brendan Hurley.
Fans held flags and embraced each other, all while keeping their eyes on the thrilling-to-the-end game that will undoubtedly go down in history.
"I think that hockey is the most followed sport, especially in the Arlington area. You don't get this kind of crowd out for figure skating or bob sledding," explained blogger Sarah Wirk.
The U.S. men's hockey team tied Canada after hitting two goals in the third quarter. After a tough fight to the finish and fanfare heard around the nation, Canada still took the win in overtime.
Despite the loss, the burgers still streamed out of the kitchen and the beers out of the draft in Arlington. Undoubtedly, the fans will be back in four years to again chant, "USA, USA, USA!"
