Start Your Day With a Jolt

National Coffee Day is Sept. 29!

For some, the day doesn’t start with out a cup (or three). For others, it’s becomes a work of art with so many syllables it’s probably worth what you paid for it. But for millions it’s simply just fuel for the day... mmm, coffee.

Wednesday, Sept. 29 is National Coffee Day. Sign up with Dunkin Donuts' DD Perks program, and you'll receive a coupon for a free medium beverage of your choice, plus another free drink on your birthday. Dunkin also launched a fan video contest today, with a grand-prize trip to Costa Rica. Ten first-prize winners will get a years' worth of free DD coffee, delivered to their doors.

Online coffee shop Boca Java is running a caffeinated deal, too. Buy four bags of their coffee, roasted only after you place an order, and get a free bag of their new Boca Java Atomic coffee (with 50 percent more caffeine) -- and the entire order is just $12.95 plus shipping. So, you know, you can celebrate the holiday right.

One coffee chain that's not scheduled to be doing much? Starbucks, whose national service rep tells us they don't have anything on the schedule... but you never know when something might pop up. Really, Starbucks? Tens of thousands of shockingly loyal fans are just shaking their heads sadly right about now.

As for everyone else... we'll see you folks at Dunkin.
