Panache Serves It Up With, Well, You Know

Recession-friendly specials are all the rage

Listen, we know there's a recession going on. And we know that's translating into peanut butter and jelly at home for a lot of people (hell, it's pretty much our Fridays). But, you know, should you need to actually get out of the house because your butt's made a very pathetic indentation in the couch, keep in mind that Panache Restaurant (1725 DeSales St. N.W.) is running some pretty decent specials these days.

Mondays and Tuesdays, get half off select bottles of wine. On Wednesday nights, slurp up a free mojito with dinner. Thursdays through Saturdays from 9-11 p.m. at the bar -- OK, that's officially the latest happy hour ever -- drown your sorrows in the following for a mere five bucks: Patron Cafe, Pyrat Rum and Bacardi Flavors. (And save some cash left over for a cab, 'cause you're gonna need one.) And Friday and Saturdays, get 10 percent off if your entire party is seated by 6:30 p.m. Who knew the recession would have the power to turn otherwise youthful people into senior citizens types seeking the early bird special?
