Dished: ‘Sensorium,' a Pop-Up Production

  • Chef Byron Brown knows that good food enlivens all five senses, and that's what his new "culinary production" aims to achieve. Sensorium, a 12-course dinner with wine pairings, will feature theatrical performances, lighting and music. Each course will be accompanied by an intertwined vignette. Sensorium will run for six weeks every day except Monday, from April 12 May 22. More info at The Feast.
  • Check in at any Starbucks today on Foursquare for the chance to win a $40 gift card. The coffee conglomerate will be giving out 500 such cards to those that unlock a "Tribute Badge" on the social networking site. Those interested can also e-mail foursquare@starbucks.com with the subject line "Starbucks Foursquare Entry Submission." The winners will be chosen at random on March 16.
  • Guy Fieri, of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" TV fame, had his yellow Lamborghini stolen yesterday by a "thief using climbing gear, [who] rapelled into a San Francisco exotic car dealership," according to FOX. We feel for the innocuous, spiky-haired host who by his own admission is a "pretty giving" family man who deserves a medal for just "being a good guy." In this latest episode of Sin City, Fieri says what he craves most is more time with his family. (Unlike fellow food tube-host Scott Conant who would trade time with his newborn for a brand new Maserati.)
