In an effort to raise money for students in D.C public schools, charity and fashion are working together.
On Friday, Nov. 21 from 7 p.m. to 11, the Shadow Room on 2131 K Street, N.W. is helping out local schools with a fashion show.
Fashion Forward will display the Fall 2008 collection of the nationally recognized D.C. based brand iKY Clothing along with dance performances by the Redskins Cheerleaders and Wizards Girls on the runway. Supermodel and television icon Tyra Banks will grace the red carpet in a more wax-like form, courtesy of Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.
Be sure to enjoy the two-hour open bar with passed hors d'ourves by Neyla Mediterranean Grill and delicious cupcakes by Georgetown Cupcakes.
Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door. 100% of the event's proceeds will benefit Hoop Dreams Scholarship Fund, which since 1996 has helped over 900 students attend college.
