Stock up on chunky, whimsical beaded jewelry at the Bella Designs Trunk Show at Periwinkle (1557 Potomac Greens Drive, Alexandria) from 10 a.m.-8 p.m.. Designer Melissa Emerick currently focuses on summery styles in bright and pastel shades, often with embellishments like silver starfish or colorful flowers. All pieces will be 25 percent off during the event.
From 11 a.m.-5 p.m., the Ippolita Trunk Show is at the Tysons' Saks Fifth Avenue (2051 International Drive, McLean). A Ippolita rep will be adding new pieces to the store's current collection of 18K gold, sterling silver, turquoise and gemstomes. Plus, you'll leave not only donning new baubles -- but also toting a free gift. Sounds like a pretty decent way to justify a big purchase.
