If you haven't purchased your tickets for the Taste of DC, today is the day to do it. Fifty percent of main stage ticket sales will go to charity for one day only.
Also, 10 percent of food and drink tickets sold today will be donated.
Taste of DC hopes to raise at least $100,000 for American Red Cross, Bread for the City, DC Central Kitchen and Luke's Wings.
The food, wine, beer and cultural festival is held Columbus Day weekend (Oct. 8-11) on Pennsylvania Avenue and includes selections from more than 60 area restaurants. Performing on the main stage over the weekend will be Big & Rich, Rusted Root, Styx and Ed Kowalczyk.
Admission to the festival is free, and food and drink tickets and tickets to performances can be purchased here.
