Get Out of the House for Snowpocalypse Deals

Think $1 Z Burgers and serious drink specials

So how's that Snowpocalypse treating you thus far? We're happy to report that a bunch of local businesses aren't just staying open to cater to your hardcore drinking/burger needs, they're actually capitalizing on the 28,000 inches of snow we're getting.

DRINKING DEALS:

The Argonaut (1433 H St. N.E.) is running a $3 Booty Beer snow special! Slurp down Red Hook IPAs for three bucks.

Urbana (2121 P St. N.W.) is throwing a "Baby It's Cold Outside" beach party. Anyone who comes in with summer gear -- flip flops, sunhat, beach balls, etc. -- can enjoy summer cocktails for $5, including sea breezes, rum runners and margaritas. Expect summer-inspired beach tunes and a seriously cranked-up heater.

Poste Moderne Brasserie (555 8th St NW) serves up its hot drinks (hot toddies and hot buttered rum) for half-off during the storm.

The good folks at Science Club (1136 19th St. N.W.) tweets, "PEOPLE OF EARTH: BLIZZARD SPECIALS! ~ Can you say FREE?! ~ Hourly Specials Announced Throughout Storm!!" We're not going to argue with a tweet that passionate.

H Street-area establishments, however, take the (snow) cake. Friday and Saturday, get $1 off all drinks for every six inches of snow that falls, at the following: Little Miss Whiskey’s Golden Dollar (1104 H St. N.E.), Jimmy Valentine’s Lonely Hearts Club (1113 Bladensburg Road N.E.), The Pug (1234 H St. N.E.), Palace of Wonders (1210 H St. N.E.), Sticky Rice (1224 H St. N.E.) and The Red and the Black (1212 H St. N.E.). Drink costs won't dip below $2, though, so plan accordingly.

DINING DEALS:

Z Burger has $1 burgers at its Tenleytown location (4321 Wisconsin Ave. N.W.) today & tomorrow -- once D.C.'s snow reaches 12 inches. Say the special password "snowburger" and get any burger on the menu for $1, including cheeseburgers, turkey burgers and veggie burgers.
