"Abbey Road on the River": Beatles Tribute Festival

On Labor Day weekend, expect a whopping 40,000 Beatles fans to gather in Maryland for the awaited "Abbey Road on the River" Beatles tribute festival.

From September 1-5, the nation's “largest and longest-running Beatles tribute festival” will come to the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center at National Harbor.

Bands from around the world will perform on seven indoor and outdoor platforms on the banks of the Potomac River.

There will be 50 concerts performed daily by popular tribute bands such as the Mop Tops and the Sgt. Peppers. Commended soprano Alessandra Marc is scheduled to grace the stage, as well.

A portion of the festival's ticket sales will be contributed to the American Red Cross. More specifically, 40 percent of money from tickets purchased from their website and $5 of each box office ticket will be donated.

Lovers of Beatles merchandise or those who just want a keepsake can purchase Beatles art and collectibles from the Fab Four Store at the festival.
