Old-School Hip-Hop. Bar Crawl. Got It?

The second annual Hip Hop Bar Crawl just might be the best crawl we've heard of lately (or ever)?

C'mon, this involves the Wu-Tang Clan! This is SERIOUS BUSINESS.

Instead of the post-frat crowd stumbling through Dupont from one Irish pub to another (not that we judge), this Sunday, Aug. 21, you can meander along U Street to catch DJs spinning old-school hip-hop. And drink specials are (mostly) more upscale than a bucket of beers.

Each DJ has been assigned to a specific bar, where they'll spin a particular genre of old-school hip-hop during their time slot. There's no cover for the bars involved, but you'll need to buy a $5 wristband to get the drink specials.

Fusicology has the full schedule here, but highlights include BRO DJ spinning Native Tongues at Tabaq Bistro (1336 U. St. N.W.) with drink specials ranging from $4 Heinekens and Coronas to $6 cosmos, appletinis and house wine; and DJ Chase spinning Wu-Tang Clan at Tap and Parlour (1101 U. St. N.W.), where specials run the gamut from $3 Miller Lites to $5 sangria margaritas.
