Live Nation's Ticket Fees Dead

No service fee Wednesday for ticket buyers

Thanks, recession! First it's discounted tix on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor and $2 cones at Gifford's Ice Cream. Now Live Nation, the world's largest concert promoter, has announced that it’s eliminating service fee on tickets for 24 hours, starting 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, on concerts at Nissan Pavilions across the country.

(Excuse us while we jump for joy.)

To get the discount, you must purchase your  tickets from LiveNation.com The Bristow, Va. Nissan Pavilion's summer lineup includes Depeche Mode, No Doubt, Nickelback and New Kids on the Block (sorry, it had to be said).

The promotion isn't valid with other special pricing offers, and is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Wednesday specials will continue throughout the summer.
