This Friday through Sunday, parking restrictions and street closures will be in effect in the Georgetown neighborhood, a popular gathering spot for Halloween revelers. Only residents and employees of businesses will be allowed into restricted areas. Some Metrobus routes will also be affected.
PARKING RESTRICTIONS:
Emergency no-parking restrictions will be in effect along the following routes from noon Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, until 6 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008:
- K Street NW from 30th Street to Wisconsin Avenue NW
- Water Street NW from 33rd Street to the Canal Tow Path
- 1000-1300 blocks of Wisconsin Avenue NW
- M Street NW from 25th Street to the Key Bridge
- 1100 block of 26th Street NW
In addition, the emergency no-parking restrictions will continue through Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, until 6 a.m. for the following streets:
- Water Street NW from 33rd Street to the Canal Tow Path
- 1000-1300 blocks of Wisconsin Avenue NW
- M Street NW from 25th Street to the Key Bridge

Although there are currently no plans for major road closures, the following streets will be closed to through traffic. Only residents and employees of business within these areas will be granted access. Citizens must present proof of work or residence to gain access to these streets.
