    They're like martinis, only...artsier.

A dozen local mixologists go head-to-head to create the most awe-inspiring martini (although to us, all martinis are, in fact, awe-inspiring). Throughout March, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays nights at 7 p.m., one featured spot will offer a 20% discount on their selected martini ... uh, excuse us, "artini." (Hey, it's one less letter for us to type!)

    Here's the schedule:

    Tuesday, March 3: PS7 Restaurant (777 I St. N.W.)
    Wednesday, March 4:Mie N Yu (3125 M St. N.W.)
    Thursday, March 5: Bourbon (2321 18th St. N.W.; 2348 Wisconsin Ave. N.W.)

Tuesday, March 10:Urbana Restaurant and Wine Bar (2121 P St. N.W.)
Wednesday, March 11: Founding Farmers (1924 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W.)
    Thursday, March 12: Teatro Goldoni (1909 K St. N.W.)

Tuesday, March 17: Enology (3238 Wisconsin Ave. N.W.)
    Wednesday, March 18: Tabard Inn (1739 N St. N.W.)
Thursday, March 19: Wisdom (1432 Pennsylvania Ave. S.E.)

    Tuesday, March 24: Rasika (633 D St. N.W.)
Wednesday, March 25: The Bar at St. Regis Hotel (923 16th St. N.W.)
Thursday, March 26: Art and Soul (415 New Jersey Avenue N.W.)

You can vote online for your favorite here. On Saturday, March 28 from 8 p.m. to midnight, you can swill all of the featured artinis (but we're SO calling you a cab at the end of the evening) during a gala ($80-100) at the Corcoran Gallery of Art.

DJ Heather Femia will be spinning while you, er, "sample" the beverages, check out the raffle (plane tix, resort trips, champagne dinners, home pilates lessons, oh my!) and tour Corcoran exhibits. At the end, the big reveal: the winning artini. Although, in our minds, they're ALL winners.
