Easter Egg Roll Lottery Now Open

The "healthy" theme means no 10-pound baskets of candy. Sad face!

Get your big plastic spoons shined up! The schedule's in place for this year's White House Easter Egg Roll, with the main event set for Monday, April 5. And the cast of FOX's "Glee" is set to perform -- turns out the First Lady, Malia and Sasha Obama are "Glee" fans.

You can now apply for the online lottery from now until Feb. 28.  Click here to apply.  The event is open for families with kids age 12 and under. No pretending otherwise, people!

The theme of this year's roll is "Ready, Set, Go!" to promoting health and wellness. We're guessing that means there will be absolutely no Cadbury's Creme Eggs at this one, which makes us a little sad.

Cooking stations, sports courts and live music will all focus on encouraging children to lead healthy and active lives, following Michelle Obama's Let’s Move! initiative, a campaign to combat childhood obesity.

That's all well and good, but what about the Easter candy?
