Then the Coldest Day of the Year Ride may be for you.
According to the Farmer's Almanac, January 22 will be the most frigid day of the year in the Washington area. Which of course is a good reason to take to two wheels.
D.C. bike repair coop the Bike House is organizing the event. The ride is set to start at Washington Monument at noon on Satuday. The planned route will run over the Key and 14th Street bridges into Arlington.
Mulled cider will await frosty cyclists at the end of the ride.
