Looks like li'l Chelsea Clinton's really all grown up now. She and her boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky announced their engagement over the Thanksgiving holiday. 'Cause we all know there's nothing more romantic than gazing at your true love over a cooling turkey carcass.
ABC News reports the happy couple sent out the following e-mail Friday morning:
"We're sorry for the mass email but we wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy Thanksgiving! We also wanted to share that we are engaged! We didn't get married this past summer despite the stories to the contrary, but we are looking toward next summer and hope you all will be there to celebrate with us. Happy Holidays! Chelsea & Marc."
Clinton spokesman Matt McKenna said the couple actually got engaged before Thanksgiving. That doesn't mean they didn't exchange romantic gazes across a turkey carcass, though.
Clinton attended Stanford and Oxford, so we know the former prez and current Secretary of State didn't raise no dummy. We assume that means she'll be able to spell Mezvinsky's last name more easily than we can. Meanwhile, her beloved investment banker is the son of former Reps. Edward Mezvinsky and Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky. The couple met in D.C. and became close while attending Stanford.
