Lace Up Your Skates

National Art Gallery welcomes back their outdoor ice-skating rink

One of D.C.’s favorite winter activities is back for its 10th consecutive year! Saturday Nov. 15, the National Gallery of Art will re-open its Sculpture Garden’s ice-skating rink. A uniquely D.C. experience, the rink is on the national mall surrounded by museums and monuments.

Each year over 50,000 visitors enjoy the rink between November and March, so make sure you don’t miss out on this winter tradition. During its opening weekend visitors who purchase ice time, rent skates, or rent a locker will receive a coupon for a free cup of hot chocolate from the Pavilion Café. There will also be coloring available for the kids.

So glide on down to the National Gallery of Art November 15 or 16 and get ready for the winter season with a little family fun.
