If you're one of the lucky ones still off from work tomorrow (and seriously, we want your job), you can keep on ridin' the inaugural train.
Poet/author Nikki Grimes and illustrator Bryan Collier will be appearing at Politics & Prose (5015 Connecticut Ave. N.W.) tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. to read from their picture book, "Barack Obama: Son of Promise, Child of Hope." The technicolor-style illustrations call to mind the iconic "Hope" poster by Shepard Fairey. Or a tie-dyed T-shirt. Either way.
The book is geared toward ages 9-12, but if you have no kiddos to bring, invite your inner child along instead.
