Most Twitter Users Bored After a Month

Even Oprah seems to be abandoning the service

Twitter may be the latest online craze sweeping the nation, but between 60 and 70 percent of new users quit after a month according to a study by Nielsen Online.

The "micro-blogging" site, which limits posts to only 140 characters, was introduced to Oprah by her fans and has posted impressive growth numbers recently.

However, even Oprah seems to be getting bored.

The Queen of All Media sent her first tweet during a show on April 17th, and has since attracted nearly 700,000 followers.

But only a week later, she seems to have tired of it -- her last "tweet" was sent five days ago.

Granted, unlike most Twitter users, Oprah has little need for another tool to promote herself.

Jackson West has certainly cut back on his tweeting of late.
