Well, it’s at Sonar in Baltimore, not in D.C., but the continent’s best extreme metal festival (according to me) deserves a mention here anyway (according to me). Three days… two stages… 55 bands… wow. And ouch. My head hurts just thinking about it. The lineup, which was recently finalized, is pretty great this year, too.
I’m not familiar with every single name on the roster - if you are, you’re a freak and you don’t need me to tell you to go to this. But: if I were to go (and I would, except I can’t, but don’t talk to me about that because it makes me angry), I would make sure I saw: Crowpath, Car Bomb, Pig Destroyer, Cattle Decapitation, Kill the Client, Napalm Death, Cephalic Carnage, Immolation, Jig-Ai, and Sigh… just for starters.
