DC-area rapper X.O. is preparing for the release of his latest project, titled “Realmatic,” with an album listening party at Major Store in Georgetown on March 10.
X.O. has been a hot commodity in the hip-hop scene in the DMV area and is about to break ground in the mainstream music scene with his upcoming release. The talented lyricist has been gaining popularity in the D.C. area with countless performances at different venues such as the Bohemian Caverns, Bar Nun (now known as Pure) and The Velvet Lounge. X.O. has also gained much recognition as a major force in rap from other DC-area artists, like Wale and Tabi Bonney, who have been signed to major record labels. At the rate he’s going, X.O is sure to follow in the footsteps of his fellow natives.
“Realmatic” is the artist’s fifth project and the Washington City Paper has called his work that of “a rising star putting his street experiences into a transformative experience.” Sounds like a good listen for the hip-hop lover’s soul or a fan waiting for the ultimate X.O. experience (hmmm maybe I need to snag a copy).
