You know that feeling, that uncontrollable urge you get while listening to Jimi Hendrix’s “Purple Haze?” Next thing you know, you’re mimicking the sound of the guitar with your mouth. The music takes over, and you just can’t hold it in anymore.

For those guilty of these occasional geeky episodes (we’re looking at all of you), we have a golden opportunity for you to put your ... uhhh ... talent to the test.
The DC Regional U.S. Air Guitar Championship is this Friday, May 29, at the 9:30 Club. Participants will have 60 seconds to shred the competition, and the winner will take their one-man show on the road to rep our city at the national final.
The word on the street is that the DC competition field is almost full. So if you're interested in competing, you need to submit video evidence of your skills ASAP.
