Nineteen years ago today, as people evacuated from the Pentagon after a plane crashed into it in a terror attack, a doctor working there that day stayed behind to help save lives. On 9/11, Dr. Veena Railan was on duty as a medical officer at the Pentagon. She chose to stay inside and help treat the wounded as people were being ordered to leave. She tells her story for the first time publicly to News4’s Aimee Cho.
