Legislators who were expecting the name of Route 210 in Maryland to change from Indian Head Highway to Piscataway Highway are learning that’s not going to happen.

Indian Head Highway is now Piscataway Highway. American Indian members of the Piscataway Tribe who fought for years to change its offensive name spoke with Prince George’s County Bureau Chief Tracee Wilkins about what this victory means.

The 20-mile stretch of road that runs through Charles and Prince George’s counties to the D.C border is considered one of the deadliest roadways in the region.
