Maryland’s state gas tax has been suspended for 30 days, Comptroller Peter Franchot announced Friday.

Some Maryland lawmakers say it’s likely that Maryland’s gas tax holiday will be extended from 30 to 90 days as prices continue to soar at the pump. News4’s Adam Tuss reports.

Gov. Hogan signed the bill into law Friday, suspending the state’s collection of the 36-cent-per-gallon tax.
