The new Bears coach John Fox isn’t wasting any time getting his staff together since being hired by the team Friday. Just one day after he was introduced to the media, Fox is reportedly set to hire Vic Fangio as defensive coordinator.
Citing an NFL source, the Chicago Sun-Times confirmed the move, which was first reported by CBS Sports, noting that Mel Tucker was reportedly informed early on that he would not be returning.
Fangio spent the last four years as defensive coordinator for the 49ers, whose defense ranked among the top in the NFL during his time.
