Talk about paying it forward...
The winner of NBC Washington's February Giant Gift Card contest decided she wanted to use her good fortune to spread some to someone else.
Maryland resident Stacey Davis recently returned to the area from Miami, Florida after being homeless for about a year. After reconnecting with family and applying for the NBC4 contest, Davis said she sees the win as nothing but a blessing.
Davis has asked NBC4 to send the gift card to a family in need to “pay it forward.”
And so we did. Because of her special request, a local family received the $400 prize.
But that's not the end of this story: Giant Company has granted Davis with a $400 gift card as well, to thank her for her kindness.
